Young Goodman Brown and Other Tales (Oxford World's Classics)

Young Goodman Brown and Other Tales (Oxford World's Classics) - Nathaniel Hawthorne, Brian Harding It was a bit confusing at some points, but it has to do more with the fact that it's old English than the story itself. It's part of my reading from a class about North American Writers.Appearances are deceiving, that is the major concept describes in this wonderful allegorical short story. The Devil is always present in our lives and the lives of those around us, just because a person presents himself as a saint doesn’t mean that we can take them at face value. In the end, our actions will be the true determiners of our nature.
